Product feature and application
In clinical practice, when physicians use a skin stapler to close skin wounds, the staples penetrate the dermal layer of the skin and automatically bend to form a rectangular shape, thereby achieving the objective of skin closure. The staples are manufactured from stainless steel; once formed into their rectangular shape, each staple measures 3.9 mm in height, 6.9 mm in crown width, and 0.57 mm in diameter. Each skin stapler is pre-loaded with 35 staples, sufficient to meet the closure requirements for routine surgical incisions.
Following closure, the staple crowns do not make direct contact with the skin; consequently, they eliminate the compressive pressure on the skin-and the resulting "cut-through" scarring-often associated with traditional suture closure. Upon healing, the appearance of the closed skin wound is aesthetically superior to that achieved with sutures, making this method highly favored by both physicians and patients.
During staple removal, a dedicated staple remover is utilized to transform the rectangular staples into an M-shape. With the staple legs positioned perpendicular to the skin, the staples can be extracted with minimal resistance, resulting in little to no pain for the patient.
